Sharon Lee Avant, 56, died Oct. 20, 2008 at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer. Avant was born Aug. 7, 1952 in Belen, N.M., and had lived in Alaska since 2003. Services will be held in New Mexico.
Local arrangements were with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory.
