Sheryl Kay (McAllister) Kunesh

Sheryl was born June 3, 1961 at the Palmer hospital. Sheryl passed away peacefully on Jan. 5, 2020, from a short two-week battle from small cell carcinoma. She passed away at the home of her long time boyfriend Gary Wold, in a loving environment that my Mom enjoyed very much.

Sheryl graduated from Palmer High School in 1979. She later went to medical transcribing school. She worked at the school district and the Pioneer home for several years. Sheryl had two children Kristal and Derek Walker and three grandchildren Kenzi, Kaleb, and Journey. She loved those grandchildren very much and the kids loved her. Kenzy said that she will make sure her memory lives on, as we all will. Sheryl was loved by so many; her family is lost without her. Sheryl had three great loves in her lifetime. She was married to Dewayne Walker for 20 years, and they had two beautiful children. She later married William Kunesh and shared the love of travel and friendship that remained until the day she passed away. Sheryl fell head over heels in love with Gary Wold in 2013. Sheryl loved wildly and fiercely, her presence is greatly missed.

Sheryl’s best friend was Diane Huppert since they were kids. They had many years of excitement and joy from a lifetime of friendship. Though Sheryl is now with our heavenly Father. Let’s keep her memory alive in our hearts. Sheryl is truly missed and loved dearly. Sheryl’s loving mother Lavonna passed away one short month after losing her dear daughter.

Sheryl is survived by her children Kristal and Derek; her son-in-law Nicholas Grippen; her brother

Kurt and sister Kim; and three loving grandchildren, and many more friends and family that loved her dearly.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her father Richard McAllister and several loved ones over the years.

The family looks forward to seeing you at her celebration of life this summer. We’d like to thank everyone for all the love and support. Rest in peace Sheryl you are loved deeply.

Her celebration of life will be at her brother Kurt’s home on June 6, 2020
