Big Lake resident Sonenaly Senethep, 50, died Dec. 29, 2010, in Palmer.
A celebration of life in honor of Sonenaly is planned at 2 p.m., Jan. 15, for family and friends. Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to services at the Valley Funeral Home Chapel 151 E. Herning Ave. in Wasilla.
Sonenaly was born Jan. 15, 1960, in Laos to Pane and Sam Senethep.
Sonenaly was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her family and friends will miss and love her. “She will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, sister, aunt and cousin,” her family says.
She is survived by her children, Eddie Khanthachack of Big Lake and Anny Khanthachack of Anchorage; her sisters, Mary (Sam) Senethep of Wasilla, Khamphiou Rattanakaum of Houston, Texas, and Say (Hi Lyton) Inthavong of Orlando, Fla. Sonenaly is also survived her brothers, Thanh and Khampraseuth Senethep of Toronto, Canada; sister in-law, Xaifong Xaipanya of Toronto, Canada; and cousins, Bounlay Dethamphaivan of Toronto, Canada, and Gnoun Vongdara of Seattle, Wash. She is also survived by her nephews, Master Senethep of Webster, Iowa, Jason and Atit Senethep of Toronto, Canada, and Elais and Victor Senethep of Anchorage.
The family was cared for by Valley Funeral Home and Crematory Wasilla.
