Stanley (Stan) Mitchell died of natural causes at home on October 21, 2024. Born on November 20, 1955 in San Francisco, CA, from youth through adulthood, Stan "lived life to the fullest". He was a vivacious person who enjoyed people, service to others, vintage automobiles, antiques and motorcycles. For many years Stan served on the Mat-Su Food Bank Board of Directors; he was a member and past President of the Susitna Rotary Club.

Stan's careers included seven years of military service in the Army during which time he served as a parachute jump instructor, and Czech border guard. He was a police officer in Texas and was also an Alaska State Trooper. After retirement, Stan and his wife, Trudi Mitchell have owned The Estate Sale antique store in Wasilla.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred & Victor Servel, and his brother, Herbert Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Trudi Mitchell; daughter, Allie Reese and granddaughter Penelope Reese; brother and sister-in-law, John & Lynn Mitchell; niece Alicia (Joe) Zalanka and grand-niece, Savannah Zalanka.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on November 20, 2024 at VFW Post 9365 located at 301 E. Lake View Ave., Wasilla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made by deposit (via check or cash) in Stan Mitchell's memory by visiting an Alaska USA/Global Credit Union branch.
