His family mourns the loss of Taft Tracy, 29, of Wasilla who passed away Oct. 20, 2014.
A memorial service is at 4 p.m., Oct. 25 at Wasilla Bible Church.
He will always be remembered for his gentle loving nature, whimsical sense of humor, deep consideration for others, and foremost, his genuine love and commitment to Jesus Christ.
He was intentional about making each member of his family know he loved them. He concerned himself about world affairs and greatly desired to promote the gospel. His adventuresome spirit led him on many Alaskan hiking excursions and even to China earlier this year. He also enjoyed playing basketball and tennis with friends.
He preferred to express himself through service and generosity, often behind the scenes. He was devoted to supporting several ministries, including sponsoring the educational needs and well being of two vulnerable orphans in Vietnam, and recently serving the homeless in Alaska.
In lieu of flowers, Taft’s final request was for support of his sponsored children, Suong and Ousmane, in Vietnam. Memorials on behalf of Taft are suggested to Orphan Voice, PO Box 910410, Lexington, Kentucky 40591, or visit orphanvoice.org.
