Terry Wilson, 53, died Dec. 22, 2012.
Terry was born in Merced, Calif., on July 2, 1959, to William R. and Patricia A. Wilson. Terry grew up in various places throughout the United States as his family served in the military. In 1997, he graduated from Fresno State University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science technology.
A private funeral for Terry was Dec. 26 at Valley Funeral Home in Wasilla. A family memorial service also is planned in Visalia, Calif.
Terry loved to travel, but in particular had a special place in his heart for Alaska. He appreciated the time he spent in Fort Yukon working as a network administrator for the Council for Athabascan Tribal Governments. During this time, Terry worked and traveled to various villages and developed good, lasting friendships.
Surviving are his father, William Wilson; daughters, Karri Casey of California and Kelly Casey of Utah; brother, Marty Wilson; sister, Ronda Cornett; three nieces; two nephews — all of California; and his beloved companion, Yolanda Paez of Palmer.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Patricia Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that individuals make a donation to a charity of their choice.
Arrangements were by Valley Funeral Home.
