Theodore (Matt) Nielsen, Jr. passed away at his home on April 14, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father, Theodore Matt (Ted) Nielsen, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Carole Ann Nielsen; sister, Phyllis Ann Bosch (Dave) ; wife, Robin Ann Nielsen; Mother & Father in law, Esther & Jay Peterson; daughter, Jennifer Rachel Ann Nielsen (Marcus), stepson, Bret Thomas Hamrick (Torrie), Taya Tolbert-Nielsen, Corban Tolbert-Nielsen, Alora Tolbert-Nielsen, Niece, Jessica Lethlean (Larry), Niece, Kimberly Wooten (Mike), Niece, Kristina Carpenter (Chuck), Nephew, Derek Cottle (Amanda), Nephew, Allen Bosch, plus 5 grandkids and many great nieces and nephews.

He was born April 23, 1960 in Eugene, Oregon, moved to Wasilla in October of 1964 when he was 4. Matt graduated from Wasilla High School in 1978. He was a master mechanic and loved his work. He also loved the outdoors, riding his Harley, logging, fishing and gardening. He also loved to cook. He was a devoted husband, son, brother, father, friend, and follower of Christ.

A celebration of life will be held at Fairview Loop Baptist Church in Wasilla, AK on May 23, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairview Loop Baptist Church, 3118 West Fairview Loop Road, Wasilla, Alaska 99654. Thank you. Please join us for a potluck Taco Bar and Potato Bar meal after the service in the fellowship hall. Please bring a side dish if desired.
