Thomas Edward Poole, 81, a longtime resident of Wasilla, died of natural causes Feb. 3, 2008, at his home in Wasilla.
He was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Ithaca, N.Y.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 10 at the Wasilla Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m.
Poole married his wife, Jean, on Aug. 24, 1965, in Reno, Nev. He worked as an electronics technician with the government and driving heavy equipment trucks until he left Ithaca. He loved bowling, camping and being creative, always making and fixing things in his shop. He also loved his Lord, his family and his friends. Poole is remembered by his family and friends for always having a great sense of humor.
Poole is survived by his wife, Jean L. Poole; children Terri, Debbie, Travis, Glenna and Randy; 12 grand-children and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his grand-daughter, Cari Zander.
Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel.
