Timothy Lee Kimbrough, 63, died Jan. 19, 2012, in Wasilla.
A celebration of life gathering for Tim is from 3 to 7 p.m., Jan. 29 at VFW Post 9365 in Wasilla. Services in Texas are pending.
Timothy was born Nov. 6, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas. He was a Texan at heart who loved all things Alaska. Timothy was a member of the VFW, American Legion and AMVETS, where he served as state commander.
Surviving are his wife, Reba; stepson, Sammy; son, Timothy Lee Kimbrough II and daughter-in-law, Amy; and four grandchildren of Fairbanks; mother, Tessie M. Stewart of Texas; and sister, Beverly Niemann and her husband James of Texas.
Preceding him in death was his father, Leonard Kimbrough.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Wells Fargo Bank.
Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory of Wasilla cared for the family.
