Tina Michelle Tolson Mahurin was born in Anchorage, Alaska on August 13th, 1974 and passed away in Wasilla, Alaska on December 18th, 2024. Tina grew up spending a lot of time with animals at both her childhood home and her grandparents' home. She had a horse, pig, chickens, rabbits, birds, cats, dogs, etc. Her love for all animals was deep and if she could have them all she would have. Tina graduated from Wasilla High School in 1993 and earn an Associate's Degree in Medical Office Assistant after that. Tina started at a young age in the dog community by showing dogs in the conformation ring. She later went onto doing agility, dock diving and barn hunt with her dogs. She was not only active in these events she also was the trial secretary for many of the local events in those 3 arenas. At the end of Tina's life, she was working as a professional dog trainer. Tina had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off her back if you asked her. Tina fought and beat oral cancer in February 2024, she passed away from a rapid moving liver cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas (Tom) Tolson. She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Tolson, her sister, Theresa Tolson Horning and her husband Larry Mahurin.
