Alaska State Troopers Tuesday morning identified the body found along a Jim Creek-area trail Saturday. According to an online dispatch, the man, 36-year-old Weston Gladney of Anchorage, was the victim of a homicide.
“Gladney was found deceased by a person recreating on a trail near Sullivan Avenue and Caudill road,” according to the post. Troopers received the report around 3:20 p.m. Saturday.
Troopers are asking anyone with information regarding Gladney’s whereabouts for the past week to contact investigators in Palmer at 325-5401.

Alaska State Troopers are investigating the Saturday discovery of a body in the Jim Creek area near Butte.
According to an online dispatch posted Monday morning, troopers were notified of the discovery around 3:20 p.m. Saturday. The body was taken to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy, and the investigation is ongoing, according to the post.
