PALMER — Valley Legislators in the Alaska House of Representatives penned a letter on Tuesday urging Gov. Mike Dunleavy to instruct acting Attorney General Ed Sniffen to support Texas in a lawsuit against Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Representatives George Rauscher and Colleen Sullivan-Leonard signed the letter directed to both Dunleavy and Sniffen.

“There are major concerns by the people in the great state of Alaska regarding the recent elections. Irregularities in the election process in other states have effectively stripped all U.S. citizens of their constitutional, and legal, right to fair and just election for the presidency of the United State of America. This has shaken the electorate’s belief that fair elections can exist,” reads the letter.

Sullivan-Leonard chose not to seek reelection this cycle and continues to serve her term as representative for District 7 until January. District 7 covers Wasilla and will be represented by newly elected Christopher Kurka next year. Rauscher won his reelection campaign in November.

“The Supreme Court has ‘original jurisdiction’ in settling disputes between states. There are numerous reasons to believe the irregularities that took place in these three states and the commonwealth were unconstitutional,” reads the letter.
