Palmer resident Virginia Agnes Green, 97, better known as “Ma” to her family and friends, passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015, at the Palmer Pioneer Home.
Private family services will be held.
Ma was born August 20, 1918, to Joseph and Minnie (Defose) Therrien in Nashua, New Hampshire. She moved to Alaska in 1979 to be closer to her daughter, Teri, and son, Paul. With everyone she met, she made a new friend. Ma had a heart of gold and never had a bad thing to say about anything. She enjoyed playing Scrabble, Boggle and crossword puzzles. As she would put it, “it keeps my grey matter going.”
The family wrote, “Ma loved life and loved to sleep, so sweet dreams Ma. We’ll all miss you and you will be with us in our hearts forever!”
Arrangements were under the direction of Valley Funeral Home, Wasilla Chapel.
