Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wade Allen Braun, 44, died Feb. 6, 2008 from injuries resulting from an accident at home.
Braun was born and raised in Minnesota and loved to hunt and fish. He moved to Alaska to be close to his parents and siblings and to enjoy the Alaska scenery.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 501 Bogard Road in Wasilla.
Braun is survived by his parents Harlan and Ella Braun of Wasilla; brother and sister-in-law David and Victoria; sister and brother-in-law Mary St. John and Jeremy; sister and brother-in-law Shelly Kesler and Lynn; daughter Chaundra; three nephews; four nieces; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Valley Funeral Homes and Crematory of Wasilla and Palmer assisted the family.
