Longtime Alaska Resident, Wanda Delores Larson, Age 72, passed away Sunday September 19, 2021, at her home in Wasilla, Alaska.

Service arrangements are pending and expected to be conducted Spring/Summer of 2022 according to Wanda’s wishes.

Wanda was born August 7, 1949 in Dalles, Oregon to Delores Ann Dickenson and Lloyd Eugene Dickenson.

Wanda came to Alaska in 1958 with her mother and siblings, Pamela Joyce Dickenson and Donald Eugene Dickenson.

Wanda graduated from Austin C. Lathrop High School in Fairbanks in 1967. Following high school Wanda studied to be a licensed beautician.

In 1968 Wanda married Dennis (Denney) John Larson. Wanda and Dennis had three sons, John Nathan Larson, Dennis John Larson II, and Joey Donnell Larson.

Following the death of her husband, Wanda and her three sons relocated to Wasilla where she oversaw the construction of a new family home.

Wanda was an Alaskan artist who enjoyed painting oils on canvas, and photography. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, sewing, gardening and homemaking. She won several prizes and many blue ribbons in many different categories over the years at the Alaska State Fair in Palmer.

Wanda is survived by two of her three sons, John and Joey Larson; three of her grandchildren, Dennis John Larson III, Nicole Larson, and James Larson. She is also survived by her mother, Delores Connelly, Step Father, Robert Connelly as well as her siblings, Pamela Spencer, Natalie Lazenby, Laurie Lincoln, and John Butcher.

Wanda asked in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kehl’s Palmer Mortuary. Interment will be held privately at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
