Wanda Sue Poirier, 57, passed away with her loving family at her side on July 28, 2013 at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer.
Wanda’s ashes will be buried with her late husband, Gerald E. Poirier, at Wasilla Aurora Cemetery.
Wanda was born June 28, 1956, in Texas, daughter to Julius and Markettia (Willis) Wright.
Wanda was a much-loved daughter, sister and mother. She always had a quick laugh and helping hand. Wanda loved her dogs and treated them better than she did herself. She was devoted to those she called friends. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. God received another angel in Heaven.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Poirier; mother, Markettia Faye Wright; and brother, James Minus Wright.
Wanda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel James and Tasha M. Poirier of Ketchikan; son and daughter-in-law, Kriss Edwin and Kathy A. Wright-Poirier of Anchorage; son, Micheal David Poirier of Palmer; sister, Charolett Pooser of Spanaway, Wash.; sister, Rena Moon of Lakewood, Wash.; father and step-mother, J. Minus and Donna Wright of Berwick, Maine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
