A Celebration of Life for Wasilla resident Warren “Clem” F. Clemmer, 74, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21 at the family home.
Clem died July 9 at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer with family and friends at his side. He was born on May 11, 1936 in Torrence, Calif., and came to Alaska in 1974 and had lived in Anchorage and then Wasilla.
He was an Army Korean War veteran and was supportive of all troops, both men and women, who lay down their lives for us. Clem retired as a dispatcher for the Ft. Richardson and Elmendorf Fire Departments in 2006. Clem loved his family of firefighters. He loved Alaska and the way of life and camping. He will be missed by all.
Clem is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pam Clemmer of Wasilla; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Candace Clemmer and James and Ruth Clemmer, all of Anchorage; two daughters and one son-in-law, Terresa and Alan Wagenaar of George, Utah, and Carol Richter of Anchorage; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family gives a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Mat-Su Regional Hospital.
Arrangements by Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel & Crematory in Wasilla.
