Wayne Allen Sexton

Wayne Allen Sexton, 50, passed away suddenly on February 24, 2023. Our Lord Jesus Christ was there awaiting his child with open arms. He was born to Allen and Sherry (Meyers) Sexton on October 3, 1972 in Palmer, AK. Wayne spent over 40 years of his life living in the Butte. He met his loving wife Jackie 25 years ago, and for him she was always his rock and his compass in life. They enjoyed 22 joyous years together filled with love and laughter as they built their family together, making their home just a short way from where they both grew up in the Butte Area. Their biggest and most beloved accomplishment in life was the arrival of their beautiful daughter Aurora. Aurora was Daddys girl for sure, he was so loving and patient with her, cherishing every moment together. He enjoyed showing her how things operated and if it didn’t, the two of them would come up with a way to make it work again, creating one of many memories that will be cherished by Aurora and Jackie, as they were Wayne’s whole world. His most loved past times were spending time with his family, camping and fishing, tinkering and fixing things, and great stories told at every family gathering with his large and vast families near and far. He is survived by his wife Jackie Sexton and daughter Aurora; step-mother Mary Sexton; mother-In-law Charlene Carney; sister-in-law Angela and her spouse Daniel Wilkins and their sons Aydin Kendrick and Daniel Wilkins Jr.; sister-in-law Niqui Shocklee and her husband Jeff; brothers and their spouses Shaun and Lacy Brusin; Tim and Shay Brusin; Lee Blodgett; sisters and their spouses Michelle and Ed Rush; Angela Dean; uncles and their spouses Michael and Cathy Sexton; Clifford and Kenny Sexton and Mark Sexton; Ray Myers; Howie and Colleen Meyers; Jodie Meyers; aunts Deborah Magee and Cheri Mrak; step brothers and their spouses Jeff and Amy Keller; Donovan and Regina Keller; Duane and Theresa Keller; Jerry and Jeannette Keller; and many other nieces; nephews; cousins; friends and co-workers; all of whom Wayne loved very much. Grief has opened its arms wide and embraced us all. Wayne is preceded in death by his father Allen Sexton, mother Sherry Meyers, step father Jackie Roy Carney; sister Joanna O’Neal; grandparents Elmer and Lottie Sexton, grandparents Wayne LeRoy Myers and Mary Ann and Alan Olsen, aunts Barbara and Donna Sexton; uncle Donny Magee and cousin William Michael Mrak, whom were all there to greet him when he arrived in heaven.

A celebration of his life will be held on May 20, 2023 at 4 PM at the American Legion Post 15, 1550 Mystic Circle, Palmer. The family would love for everyone who knew him to come, have a meal, and share their memories of Wayne with others that admired and loved him as much as we all do.
