Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wayne L. Stanley, 70, died April 17, 2015.
He was born July 26, 1935, to Owen G. and Ida Mae (née Spenser) Stanley in Sacramento, California.
He wed the love of his life, Ardis Hanawalt, in Reno, Nevada, on Aug. 2, 1954. Wayne worked as a civil engineer in San Francisco, California; Boise, Idaho, and Portland, Oregon.
Surviving are sons, Robert (Debra) of Sonora, California, Thomas (Barbara) of Nampa, Idaho, and James (Lara) of Palmer, and 10 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his sons, Garrett (Sylvia), and twins, Jeffery David and Daniel Todd.
A graveside service is at 1:30 p.m., April 24 at Palmer Pioneer Cemetery.
