Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wayne Terry McCool, 52, of Wasilla, passed away at his home on May 30 of heart failure. Wayne was born May 17, 1956 in Boise, Idaho. He was the son of Selma Josephine (Payne) McCool and Wayne E. McCool. Survivors include his mother, Selma Josephine Payne and sister, Steve Jo McCool both of Victor, Mont.; very close friends, Bert and Larrain Fraley of Anchorage. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne E. McCool; grandparents, Wayne K., and Ethiel S. McCool and Lee and Nellie T. Payne.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on May 17 at the Seventh-day Advent Church in Palmer. His ashes will be scattered at his home in Wasilla at 9 p.m. on May 17. He will be greatly missed by all. For more information, you may contact Wayne’s sister Steve at (406) 369-2308.
