Weylin Gary Buzby, 58, of Anchorage, Alaska, died peacefully in his Wasilla home, July 13th, 2022.
He was born on June 17th, 1964, to Richard and Saundra Buzby. Weylin graduated from A.J. Dimond High School in 1982. He started his retail career at Carrs and Fred Meyers but his greatest retail achievement after 20 years was retiring from the Pepsi Bottling Co.. Work not only brought him a lifetime of experience in his field, but also introduced him to his adventures in Washington, Hawaii and California. His love for Alaska and his love for family and friends always brought him home. Weylin was a kind man who cared about people, always fun and always funny. He occupied his days being outdoors and collecting Pepsi memorabilia. He had countless adventures throughout his life but spending time with his friends and family was his greatest adventure.
Weylin is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Saundra Buzby, and sister, Yvonne Buzby. Weylin is survived by his sister, Theresa Buzby (Sam Maxwell), and brother, Wesley Buzby; uncles Bryan Amber (Mary) and Joe Buzby (Lori); son, Ryan Buzby of Anchorage; daughter, Ashlin Koontz of Boston; son, Kenny Buzby of San Diego; and many nieces and nephews and great friends.
A celebration of life will be held August 27th, 2022, at the Anchorage Moose lodge 4211 Arctic Blvd, Anchorage, AK 99503. The service will be at 4 pm with a barbecue.
