The Alaska State Fair recently announced that Whiskey Myers is joining the 2024 concert series.
According to a press release, the "genre-bending" southern rock/country band is preparing for their 2024 nationwide tour that will eventually bring them up north to the Alaska State Fair.
Whiskey Myers is set to perform Saturday, August 31, at 7 p.m. at the Borealis Theatre.
The multi-Platinum selling six-piece group is known for their high-energy live performances. The press releases stated their unique sound was described by USA Today as “a riff-heavy blend of Southern rock and gritty country.”
The band's most recent self-produced album, "Tornillo," features the song, “John Wayne,” which was the top 17 most-played Americana song of 2022.
Their fifth studio album, "Whiskey Myers" debuted at number one on both the Country and Americana/Folk sales charts, number two on the Rock chart, Number six on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart and Number 3 among new releases.
Whiskey Myers has sold over 1.65 million albums, garnered over 2.25 billion streams, and earned six RIAA Gold and Platinum certifications as an independent band since their start in 2007.
They’ve also headlined their own sold-out shows at iconic venues across the country such as Red Rocks Amphitheater and Ryman Auditorium, performed at marquee festivals like Bonnaroo, Stagecoach and Download, and opened The Rolling Stones’ Chicago stadium show in 2019.
Whiskey Myers tickets are currently on sale on the State Fair website. They are the second confirmed act in the Fair’s 2024 concert series, following Oliver Anthony's confirmation.
Concert-goers have the option to purchase concert-only tickets or tickets that include Fair admission.
Concert tickets including Fair admission must be purchased by August 15. The included admission comes at a discounted price and only works for the day of the concert.
