Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wasilla resident William “Bill” A. Perrey, 44, died June 6, 2008 at Mat-Su Regional Hospital in Palmer after a short illness.
A memorial service was Saturday, June 7 at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel. His ashes will be interred in McColl, S.C.
Perrey was born April 17, 1964 at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. He became an Alaska resident in May of 2005. He attended two years of college at Washington State. He worked at Pizza Hut until his death.
Perrey enjoyed pool, golf, politics, watching sports (Wazzu, Gonzaga, Mariners and the Seahawks). He also loved rock-and-roll.
“Bill was always kind, loving and thoughtful to his family, friends and anyone he came across,” his family wrote.
He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Perrey and his step-brother Glenn Campbell.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Wright, of Wasilla; son Charlie Perrey; daughters Betty Perrey and Christine Perrey; mother Betty L. Campbell of Florida; father Richard Perrey of Washington; stepmother Janet Perrey of Washington; stepfather Tom Campbell of Florida; sister Beth Perrey of Washington; sister Mary Jo Reddick of California; and stepsister Michelle Miliss of California
Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel.
