Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

William Allen Wright, 41, died Feb. 25, 2012, while at church serving the Lord.
Will was born April 9, 1970, to Keith and Rita Wright in Corvalis, Ore.
He lived in Anchorage from 1975 until 1983 when the Lord called his parents to Camp Maranatha in Big Lake, where they served as missionaries. Will was a Godly man who came from a long legacy of Christ loving and a Christ-serving family. He was very active in his church at Faith Bible Fellowship in Big Lake, where he served at the food bank, helped with the youth group and Awanas and taught Sunday School.
“Will is missed more than words can say and loved by so many,” his family wrote. “We are thankful for all of the years the Lord gave us to be him and thankful for the legacy he has left behind. I miss you my forever love, but we will be together again someday.”
Will is survived by his loving bride, Marlene; children, Caeleigh (Joe) McKittrick, Austyn, Jackson, Jacob and Lily; and the newest addition, granddaughter Lielya McKittrick; his parents, Keith and Rita Wright; aunts and uncles, Robert Wright, Wayne (Dorothy) Wright, Linda Landeaur, Alene (Ken) Palmer, Steve (Doraynne) Pugh, Tom and Judy Pugh, Dan (Pat) Pugh; and many cousins, father- and mother-in-law, Craig and Jan Harris; sister- and brother-in-law, Amanda and Kris Hefner; brother-in-law, Matthew Harris; and nieces, Katelyn and Sarah.
A memorial service in honor of Will is at 1 p.m., March 3 at Faith Bible Fellowship in Big Lake.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Christy Wright Keats; both sets of grandparents; and his uncle, Bill Pugh.
Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory Wasilla cared for the family.
