Alaska resident William “Billy” David McNelly, 47, passed away Oct. 27, 2014.
A celebration of life is from 2 to 6 p.m., Nov. 2 at Four Corners Bar in Palmer across from Three Bears.
Billy was born on March 18, 1967, in Chehalis, Washington. Billy moved to Alaska in 1990. He lived in different locations including Kake, Juneau, Rowan Bay, and Wasilla where he lived at the time of his death. He worked for Local 302, Kewitt Construction, Alaska Interstate Construction, Alaska Pulp Corporation and many other companies in between.
Billy was well loved by everyone — a very giving person that made everyone smile. It meant more to him to give than receive. He loved motorcycles of any kind, and he loved to travel. He loved his family and friends. Billy’s acts of kindness and generosity touched many lives, and he will be missed by all the people whom he has ever met.
Surviving are his wife, Audrey McNelly of Wasilla; brothers, Wayne McNelly of Valdez, and Mark McNelly of Creswell, Oregon; father, John McNelly, Sr., of Centralia, Washington; mother, Dorothy Pule of Rochester, Washington; and stepdaughters, Jennifer Hansen of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, and Nicole Buchan of Wasilla.
