William Jacob Hines Jr., 68, formerly of Wasilla and Anchorage, and most recently of Corrales, N.M., died on May 14, 2011.
Hines was born Jan. 26, 1943 in El Paso, Texas, to William Jacob Hines Sr. and Leona (Dragoo) Hines.
His work included being a senior electrical estimator in the oil industry. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, woodworking and leatherworking.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanie Hines; parents, Leona and William Jacob Hines Sr. and; sister, Barbara King.
Hines is survived by his daughter, Kati Buckland and her husband, Glenn, of Rio Rancho, N.M.; son, William Jacob Hines III and his wife, Gerri, of Wasilla; grandchildren, Caleigh, Mason, Noah and Liam; and friend and companion, Sue VandenBerg.
A memorial service is at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 19, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. To view funeral information or leave condolences, visit danielsfuneral.com.
