Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

William “Bill” L. Cole Jr., 84, passed away of natural causes on July 24, 2014, at home with his dog, Buster.
Bill was born in Maryland on Dec. 25, 1929. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He moved to Eagle River in 1962 and remained there until 1983, when he moved to his current property in Wasilla. Bill owned and operated Cole’s Painting until he retired. He enjoyed pending time hunting, fishing, and wood-carving.
He is survived two sons, Willam and Patrick; daughter, Maria; eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A memorial barbecue for family and friends is Aug.17 at his home.
