Wasilla resident William Ray Hogue, 50, passed away April 5, 2008, at home. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 10 at Valley Funeral Home, 151 E. Herning Avenue in Wasilla. The Rev. Fred Stroud will officiate.
Born May 14, 1957 in Scottsville, Ky., Hogue moved to Alaska in 1969. Living in Anchorage, he attended East High School, going on to receive his electronics certification from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Hogue also served in the U.S. Army. After leaving Alaska Computer Brokers in 2000, Hogue was self-employed and enjoyed working with computers and eloctronics.
Hogue is survived by his wife, Bonnie Hogue of Wasilla; daughter Lahaina O’Brien of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister Shirley Soth of Spokane, Wash.; brother Jimmy Bibby of Parker, Ariz.; mother Bea Bibby and aunt Betty Allen of San Manuel, Ariz.; uncles Paul Hooten of Locus Grove, Ga. and Bobby Hooten of Morgantown, Ky.; step-daughter Heidi Flynn and grandaughter Clarissa Flynn of Garrett, Ind.; and step-sons Steven and Jason Gosciminski of Catawissa, Penn.
Hogue was preceded in death by his step-father Jim Bibby.
Valley Funeral Homes of Wasilla and Palmer assisted the family.
