I’ve been bad the last two days. Okay, maybe only half bad.
I haven’t been to the gym in two days now and I think I’m starting to suffer from withdrawals. I skipped yesterday because I severely overworked my knee on Wednesday, and had full intentions of making it tonight. You know what they say about the best laid plans. I was in Anchorage all day and got caught up in a monster of a traffic jam due to an accident on the Glenn Highway. I left downtown Anchorage at 4:45 and didn’t get back to the Valley until 6:45! By this time, I was just plain pooped and kept right on driving until I found the comfort of my driveway.
I’m still sticking to my eating plan, but I know I’ve got to work out to make this lifestyle change complete. I promise myself that I’ll make the time to get to the gym tomorrow. No excuses.
I received an email from Linda Olson at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center Urgent Care facility giving me a report on this past Wednesday’s lecture. She told me there were about 60 people who attended, which is fantastic. She told me the free soup samples were a big hit after the meeting and everyone experienced a very supportive atmosphere. I’ll have to get down there to check it out in person. Next week’s presentation is an overview of TOPS – Take Off Pounds Sensibly. Mark your calendar for 7pm Wednesday!
I think I better start looking through the recipe file for new meal ideas, too. I’m starting to get a bit bored with my menu selection, so please, please keep the recipes coming!
