WASILLA — The Alaska WildBird Rehabilitation Center invites everyone to its seventh annual Fall Migration fundraiser from 5:30 to 9 p.m., Sept. 20 at Best Western Lake Lucille Inn.
Enjoy wine tasting, a no-host bar, hearty appetizers from the Denali Family Restaurant, music by Matanuska Muse, quick-draw artists, many silent auction items, a live auction of delicious desserts and travel packages with auctioneer Kevin Painter, and of course, our wild bird ambassador.
The live auction features a fabulous Fairbanks package for two, including round-trip Alaska Railroad tickets from Anchorage, Riverboat Discovery and Gold Dredge No. 8 tours, two nights at the Bear Lodge at Wedgewood, and entry passes to the Antique Auto Museum. Also featured is a sensational Seward get-away, including admission to the SeaLife Center, hotel, meals, and a jacket and hat.
Tickets are $55 in advance, $60 at the door; a table for eight is $385.
Tickets are available at Madd Matters and NonEssentials in Palmer, and at Steve’s Toyostove and Su’z Alaskan Gift Shop in Wasilla. They can also be purchased by calling the center at 892-2927, or through PayPal at akwildbirdrehab.org.
Please join us at this festive and feathery event for a chance to meet some of our hawks and owls up-close and personal and learn about their habitats — both wild and in captivity — chat with our passionate and knowledgeable volunteers about the new center and the mission of Alaska WildBird Rehab Center, and find out about the many ways you can help Alaska’s wild birds. Your support and generosity helps us house, feed and care for our education birds.
