Patricia Ann Whitt

Passed away Friday, January 11^th at the age of 76, surrounded by family and loved ones. A lifelong Alaska resident, she was born March 10^th, 1942 to Gustave and Alethea Scheibl and graduated from Palmer High School in 1960. She married James Hicks Whitt Jr. on June 29^th, 1963, and together they raised a family of five daughters. Patricia worked for the Mat-Su Borough School District until her retirement in 1999. An avid outdoorswoman, she spent many summers and winters with her family fishing, hunting, snow-machining, 4-wheeling, and enjoying time at the cabin.

Patricia is preceded by her parents; her daughter Patty J Whitt; and her siblings Evelyn Harter, Annabelle Chowaniec, Enola “Lalle” Contini, and Frank, George, and Sampson Scheibl. She is survived by her husband James; her daughters Cindy Simon, Jamie Kaiser, Ann (Ryan) Ralston, and Terry (Matt) Murray; eleven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Service will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Thursday, January 17^th at 10:00am. Those who so desire may make memorial donations to the local charity of their choosing.
