Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Passed away on February 24, 2019. He was born on August 7, 1940 in Oswego, New York to Sidney and Elsie Watchus.
Bob and Ursula were married for 54 years. Mr. Watchus retired after over 23 active years in the Army, which included three tours in Vietnam. He was an active member in his community. He served as State Commander at the VFW in 2002-2003. Some of Bob's greatest joys were hunting and fishing. He enjoyed big game hunting as well as all fishing. He enjoyed his retirement years as a competitive bowler and playing pinochle with friends. He was a devoted husband, father, Opa and friend who will be greatly missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his son Danny.
Mr. Watchus is survived by his wife Ursula; daughter Lauren & Fabian Robinson; and sons Robert & Michele Watchus and Christian & Coalette Watchus; 9 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Full Military Honors will be given on March 9, 2pm at VFW Post 9365, Wasilla Alaska.
